GORC Park

Parking at GORC

Please obey the “NO PARKING” signs along Strawberry Lake Way.

There is NO PARKING on the townhouse side of the road in front of the park.  Please use the two parking lots for practice and game parking.  The old tennis court has also been converted to a parking area.

 Please park in designated areas and avoid problems.  THANK YOU for your cooperation.

from points South:

Take Rt. 3 North through Crofton to the light for Waugh Chapel Rd.  Enter left side ramp at intersection.  Follow Waugh Chapel Rd., passing the Waugh Chapel Swim Club on the right side before coming to Strawberry Lake Way.  Take a left onto Strawberry Lake Way following it straight into GORC park.

from points West:

Take Rt. 32 East to exit ramp for Rt. 170.  Bear right on the ramp and follow Rt. 170 East towards Odenton until you reach Odenton Rd.  There will be a 7-11 on your right.  Continuing through the intersection (the road changes to Piney Orchard Parkway) to the next light at Waugh Chapel Rd.  Take left onto Waugh Chapel Rd. and follow until you reach the light at Strawberry Lake Way.  Take a right onto Strawberry Lake Way following it straight into GORC Park.

from points North:

Take Rt. 3 South to the light for Waugh Chapel Rd.  There will be a 7-11 on the right side of the intersection.  Take right and follow Waugh Chapel Rd., passing the Waugh Chapel Swim Club on the right side before coming to Strawberry Lake Way.  Take a left onto Strawberry Lake Way following it straight into GORC Park.

from points East:

Take Rt. 97 North to the ramp for Rt. 3 South.  Follow Rt. 3 South to the light for Waugh Chapel Rd.  Take right and follow Waugh Chapel Rd., passing the Waugh Chapel Swim Club on the right side before coming to Strawberry Lake Way.  Take a left onto Strawberry Lake Way following it straight into GORC Park.

GORC Park Redevelopment Project

GORC Park will be closed for renovation from November 1, 2021 until Fall 2022. The approximately $5 million project will construct a new playground, expand on-site parking, renovate and improve baseball/softball and multipurpose sports fields, build a replacement basketball court, add a new picnic pavilion, install sports field lighting, construct a new concessions/toilet/storage building, provide ADA-compliant access to more areas of the Park, and connect Park facilities to public utilities.
