Winter Cheer will be here before we know it!
Registration for our 2017-2018 Winter Cheer season will open Nov 1, 2017 - Nov 30, 2017. Winter registration fee will be $265.00 per athlete plus a $60.00 GORC Family fee if this fee was not paid in the fall season. A late fee of $25.00 will be applied to any registrations occurring after Nov 15, 2017.
Practice for our winter cheer teams will start on Dec 4, 2017. Practices will be held twice a week at local schools for 2 hours. Exact days and times will vary based on school availability, age group and coach availability.
Our winter cheer season is considered our competition season and we will be attending 5 competitions beginning in February and ending in April. There will also be 5 mandatory practices @ All Seasons Athletics in Millersville, MD (dates TBD). Fees associated with practices at All Seasons are covered in your registration. We have deemed these practices necessary as they help the athletes familiarize themselves with a spring floor mat. Spring floor mats will be used during all competitions and these practices are the only instance we can introduce the athletes to the spring floor mat.

Each competition venue will have a spectator fee and will vary from location and venue. Spectator fees range from $10-20.00/ per person.
*Please be sure you will be able to commit to these dates and below requirements before registering*
All cheerleaders are required to purchase a uniform. If you did not cheer in the Fall of 2017, you will need to purchase a uniform. The uniform fee is around $200.00 for all required items. New this season we will offer a buy back program for any cheerleader not returning to the program. Buy/sell back uniforms will be advertised to incoming athletes at a reduced cost. We will allow outgoing families to sell their gently used, stain free uniforms (skirt, vest, shoes only) to an incoming family for a fee of $75.00. Shoes will be an additional fee and will be based on the quality of the shoe. Our buy/sell back gently used uniforms will take place at our uniform fitting on Dec 5th. Any outgoing families and/or incoming families interested in this option should make plans to attend the first fitting as we will not offer this option on any other fitting date or time. We will offer 2 different fittings. ***Please note: If your athlete is unable to attend one of the scheduled fittings she will not be allowed to cheer. We cannot offer additional fittings past the dates we will have scheduled.***

Tumbling classes are offered at All Seasons Athletics as an additional option. Tumbling classes are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged as tumbling is an important skill for cheerleaders. If your athlete is interested in attending tumbling classes more information can be provided by the coach.
Finally Registration fills up quickly- So don’t hesitate, Register your cheerleader early to secure her spot.

ARE YOU READY TO TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL??
Our Gorc ELITE cheer team will allow you to do just that!! Gorc ELITE is our competitive cheer team and athletes that wish to join this team must be selected through a tryout process. Our ELITE cheerleaders take on more of a time commitment & financial obligation. Tryouts for our ELITE team are held in May and all athletes must have at least a level 2 tumble pass in order to tryout.
Competitive Cheer General Information:
- Registration fee is $1500.00 for the year. This fee includes monthly tumbling classes at All Season Athletics. Monthly payment options and fundraising are available to help off set the cost. Payments begin Jun 15, 2018.
- Our Competitive season will run from Sep 2018-May 2019.
- Athletes ages 8-14 welcome!
- The team will attend 8 competitions from January until May.
- All practices will be held at All Seasons Athletics.
- Payment & fundraising options will be available to help assist with tuition.
- Athletes need to have tumbling skills that include back handsprings & round off Back handsprings as well as level 1 tumbling skills.
- Try-Outs will be held @ All Seasons Athletics, date TBD
We will still be offering our traditional sideline cheerleading for all athletes not interested in our competitive squad.

Sign up for Winter Cheer November 1-30, 2017. A late registration fee of $25.00 will be applied to all registrations occurring after November 15th.
Remember a GORC Family Fee of $60.00 must be paid before you can register!!! If your athlete participated in any GORC sporting activity in Fall 2017 this fee will not need to be paid again for the winter session.
