Scoopers $80 DOB 9/1/13 - 8/31/15 Practices begin in March; Games begin in early April Practices held at GORC Park or local elementary schools. Games played throughout Anne Arundel County. A beginner program where participants learn the fundamental skills of the game. Games with other County teams will be played (6v6, no goalie) and coaches are on the field serving as referees.
Clinic $115 DOB 9/1/11 - 8/31/13 Practices begin in March; Games begin in early April Practices held at GORC Park or local elementary schools. Games played throughout Anne Arundel County. The Clinic level is an instructional league with a focus on skills development and league play. Games with other County teams will be played with a Coach on the field and refereed by County Officials. No standings or records are maintained. Although stick and hand checking is permitted, no body checking is allowed.
Pee Wee $115 DOB 9/1/09 - 8/31/11 Practices begin in March; Games begin in early April Practices held at GORC Park or local elementary schools. Games played throughout Anne Arundel County. The Pee Wee level is also an instructional league with a focus on game play. Games with other County teams will be played and refereed by County Officials. No official standings or records are maintained. Stick, hand and body checking is permitted.
Middies $115 DOB 9/1/07 - 8/31/09 Practices begin in March; Games begin in early April Practices held at GORC Park or local elementary schools. Games played throughout Anne Arundel County. The Middies leagues are a step above the instructional level and place more of an emphasis on the game of lacrosse. Players and teams will be classified in A, B, or C levels according to skill. Games with other County teams will be played and refereed by County Officials. Stick, hand and body checking is permitted. County playoffs and championship will be conducted at the conclusion of the regular season.
Juniors 115 DOB 9/1/05 - 8/31/07 Practices begin in March; Games begin in early April Practices held at GORC Park or local elementary schools. Games played throughout Anne Arundel County. Junior level is also an instructional league with a focus on game play. Games with other County teams will be played and refereed by County Officials. Official standings or records are maintained. Stick, hand and body checking is permitted.

Stick Length Requirements

  • Scoopers & Clinic – Sticks cannot be less than 36” from tip to end (top of the head to bottom of the pole). The max length is 42”. At this age it is recommended all players cut their sticks to 36”.
  • Pee Wee – Sticks can be 36” – 42” or 52” – 72”
  • Midget & Junior – Sticks can be 40” – 42” or 52” – 72” – High School Federation Rules.

Consult your coach before cutting your stick!!

Equipment

 

GORC does NOT provide equipment for the spring lacrosse program.

Players are required to provide their own helmet, shoulder pads, lacrosse stick, gloves, arm pads, and cleats and mouth guard. Rib Pads are optional but are worn by most players. Lax Unlimited (click on link) in Annapolis carries all of these items.

Field Directions

Andover Park Route 3 north to I-97 north, take exit 176 toward BWI. Turn right on Aviation Blvd. Turn right on Andover Rd. Cross over Camp Meade Rd. Park is on your left beyond Lindale Middle School.
Annapolis Middle #1 1339 Forest Drive, Annapolis, MD. From Route 50 eastbound toward Annapolis, take Exit 22 (Aris T Allen Boulevard To Riva Road). Aris T Allen Boulevard merges into Forest Drive. Drive ¼ mile and school will be on the right.
Arden Park From Route 3 north, turn right onto Route 175 (Millersvile Road) towards Millersville. Turn right onto Waterbury Road and follow it under I-97. Turn left on General’s Highway. At the Wawa Store bear right onto Sunrise Beach Road. Park will be on the right about 2 miles further.
Broadneck Lower / Upper From Route 50 eastbound toward Annapolis, go north on Ritchie Highway, Route 2. Turn right onto College Parkway. Stay on College Parkway for about 4 miles. Pass Green Holly Drive. Park is on right.
Brooklyn Park MS 200 Hammonds Lane, Baltimore, MD. Route 3 north to I-97 north, take I-695 east toward Key Bridge. Take exit 3a Route 2 (Ritchie Highway) north. From Ritchie Highway North make a left onto Hammonds Lane.
Chesapeake HS (Airport Field) 4798 Mountain Road at Mt. Carmel Court, Pasadena, MD. Route 3 north to I-97 north, take Route 100 East, becomes Mountain Road, Route 177. Turn left into Chesapeake High School. Follow the driveway to the left behind the school past the softball fields onto the gravel road. The airport field is on that road behind the baseball field.
GORC Park (Odenton Park) From Route 3 north. Turn left onto Waugh Chapel Rd (towards the shopping center). Follow Waugh Chapel, turn left at light onto Strawberry Lake Way. Follow Strawberry Lake Way to the Park.
Kinder Park Route 3 north to I-97 north, take Benfield Blvd exit. Turn left at exit light and then right at next light to stay on Benfield blvd. At third light, take a left on to Jumpers Hole Road. Go 1.2 miles and turn left into the Harvey Garcelon Sports Complex in Kinder Park. After one block, make a left into the Park.
Loch Haven From Route 424 (Davidsonville Road) South, turn left onto Rt. 214 East (Central Avenue). Follow Rt. 214 East and take left on Loch Haven Road. Turn left on Pocahontas Drive – Park on left.
Old Mill 600 Patriot Lane, Millersville, MD. Route 3 north to I-97 north, take Benfield Blvd exit, then turn left on Veterans Highway. From Veterans Highway (Route 3), turn onto Old Mill Road. Take Old Mill Road and turn left onto Patriot Lane.
Panther Stadium From Route 50 eastbound toward Annapolis, take Exit 22 (Aris T Allen Boulevard To Riva Road). Aris T Allen Boulevard merges into Forest Drive. Turn left onto Hilltop Lane. At the next traffic light turn left onto Spa Road. From Spa Road, turn right into the park area. The right turn occurs just before you hit the traffic circle at Spa Road and West Street.
Ruritan Field Follow Route 424 (Davidsonville Road) South. Field will be on your right just prior to Route 214.
Shipleys Choice ES 310 Governor Stone Pky, Millersville, MD. Route 3 north to I-97 north, take Benfield Blvd exit. Turn left at exit light and then right at next light to stay on Benfield blvd. Turn left onto Governor Stone Parkway and the school will be on your left.
Southern MS 5235 Solomons Island Rd, Lothian, MD. Follow Route 424 (Davidsonville Road) South continuing past Route 214. Davidsonville Road turns into Birdsville Road. Turn right onto Route 2 Solomon’s Island road. The middle school is 6 miles further south.
Sunset Park 8572 Fort Smallwood Road, Pasadena, MD. Route 3 north to I-97 north, take Route 100 East. Take Edwin Raynor Blvd exit and turn right heading north. Edwin Raynor Blvd turns into Fort Smallwood Road, and the park is on your left.
