Clinic basketball is designed to introduce boys and girls to the basics of basketball. It is open to both boys and girls ages 5 to 7/8 (Grades 2, 1, K, and Pre-K) .

Because abilities improve quickly at this age we try to separate the older children from the younger children when feasible. The goal is to divide the clinic into 2 divisions: 5-6 year olds and 6-7/8 year olds. 

Second Grade Boys that are or are  nearly 8 years old, have played Clinic basketball before, and are skilled are encouraged to play GORC Boys Intramural Basketball. 

Girls that are 7 (Grade 2), have played Clinic basketball before and are skilled are encouraged to play GORC Girls Intramural Basketball.

• The start of the season is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 2nd, depending on gym availability . Participants will have a practice time on Saturday and Sunday during weekends in December. 
   
• In January and February, practices are generally held on Saturdays and games on Sundays with a referee.  
   
• While we don't want to turn anyone away, there are limitations to gym time and space, so we encourage interested players to register early. Tell your friends and neighbors too! Once league capacity has been filled a wait list will be created. Registration is open!!!  Players will be contacted by their coach  with practice times and locations, as well as game schedules. 

During practices and games players will need to wear appropriate shoes and comfortable clothing that allows for movement.  It is recommended, but not necessary, for athletes to purchase and mark their own 27 1/2 inch ball. Included in the registration fee is a game t-shirt and participation item.
