LEAGUE STRUCTURE:

Sticklettes

A beginner program where participants learn the fundamental skills of the game. As the season progresses teams will participate in scrimmages. Sticklettes will begin the first of April and run through the end of May.

Pee Wee

The Pee Wee level is an instructional league with a focus on game play. This is the first level of "county" play. Practices begin in early March and are held at Four Seasons Elementary School fields. Games with other County teams will be played and refereed by County Officials . No official standings or records are maintained. There is no checking at this level and scores are not recorded in this 8 v. 8 format (7 on field plus a goalie for each team). The big change from Sticklettes is the addition of goalkeepers. Games are played on weekends with some games played during the week.

Midget

The Midget league is a step above the instructional level and places more of an emphasis on the game of lacrosse. While the focus is always skill building, this level is broken into three divisions. As such, players will be placed by ability.  Players and teams will be classified in A, B, or C levels according to skill. Games with other County teams will be played and refereed by County Officials . The "Middies" play 12 v 12 around the county on weekends and occasional weekdays. There is Modified Stick checking at this level.  We will hold evaluations at this level to determine the appropriate level of play for our teams and to properly place each girl at the correct level.  There will be NO cuts.  Each girl will be placed on a team.  Some factors used in the evaluation process will be:  coachability, work ethic, stick skills, game awareness, speed and potential.  The evaluations will be held in February at a time and place TBD.  Please make every effort to attend the evaluations.  Players not able to attend the evaluations will be placed at a level the coaches deem appropriate.  Please do not make special requests for certain coaches or practice nights, etc.  We want to balance fielding the best teams possible while still maintaining our goal of providing a safe and FUN environment for each girl.

Middie teams will practice on Tuesday/Thursday and some Friday practices.

Juniors

The Junior league places more emphasis on the game of lacrosse.  This level is broken into three divisions. As such, players will be placed by ability.  Players and teams will be classified in A, B, or C levels according to skill. Games with other County teams will be played and refereed by County Officials .  The Juniors play 12 v 12 around the county on weekends and occasional weekdays.  Stick checking is allowed.

Junior teams will practice on Monday/Wednesday and some Friday evenings.
